天乘

(sa) devayāna. The (sa) deva vehicle-- one of the [lang id =1028]五乘 five vehicles; it transports observers of the ten good qualities [lang id =1028]十喜 to one of the six (sa) deva realms of desire, and those who observe (sa) dhyāna meditation to the higher heavens of form and non-form.

◆天即色界天也， 謂彼諸天修根本有漏禪觀， 欲惑不染， 以此根本禪定， 運出欲界， 是名天乘。 （有漏者， 謂漏落生死也。 根本禪， 即色界禪。 謂能出生一切禪定故也。 ） ◆天者謂天然、 自然、 樂勝、 身勝也。 天以十善為乘， 運出五道， 得生欲天。 於修十善時， 更能修習禪定， 即生色界， 無色界天， 故名天乘。 （十善者， 不殺生、 不偷盜、 不邪婬、 不妄語、 不兩舌、 不惡口、 不綺語、 不貪欲、 不瞋恚、 不邪見也。 五道者， 人道、 修羅道、 餓鬼道、 畜生道、 地獄道也。 ）
